  People come into your life
From birth to the day you die
Some make you mad as hell
And others, you smile or sigh

When you meet that special someone
And many times in life you will
Open your heart and let them in
Take a chance and let it fill

So, it may not be the best of times
With all your problems and strife
But remember a load is much lighter for you
With two backs to carry it through life

Now problems come in all kind of shape
From sickness, to money, to heart
But if you hold to the shoulder of your friend by your side
You’ll have a good place to start

Answers to life are never garanteed
And a friend may not even be a cure
But why take a chance and walk alone
And never really be sure

A friend is not a perfect machine
For they have faults too
But they try to show with word and deed
Their main concern is you

Now, your responsibility as their friend
Is just as important as theirs
Be there for them through all their doubts
And show them it’s you who cares

Never miss a chance to make a friend
True ones are few and far between
And never miss a chance to be a friend
If you’ve lost one, you know what I mean.
