One of my favorite read-alouds for 2nd and 3rd graders. Only problem with Mark Teague's books is that there's so much humerous in the pictures that many in the class miss it.

Elmo Freem can't believe he has to do a book report on a dumb book called Frog Medicine. But suddenly, the book doesn't seem so dumb when he finds himself turning into a frog. He tries to explain it to his cat, Leon. Time for them to go to Frogtown, and find the author of the book, where Elmo learns lots about frogs, book reports and life in general. For grade 2.

Probably some lessons on dealing with doctors and preventative medicine, as well.
