This book was extremely intense. Jane is kidnapped, taken to a remote location, tortured and sexually brutalized repeatedly. These acts are described in graphic detail, so definitely NOT for the casual erotica reader.
That said, if you choose to read this book, be prepared to be affected by it. This isn't the kind of book that you can say "I liked it", or "It was sexy". It is neither. But, it was well written and unfortunately believeable. I'm glad I read it.

Hated it. The synopsis was accurate, but I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. Actually, I didn't even read the whole thing. I new it was "harsh BDSM" but I thought it was truly disgusting.
This was a good fiction story if you like harsh BDSM/erotica. Not for the faint of heart or anyone looking for realistic accounts of safe, sane and consensual BDSM as this contained none of the above. That being said, if you *aren't* looking for SSC this might be the book for you. It's a quick read at only 100 some pages. It only took me a couple hours to finish.

I never have been more disgusted in my life then after reading this book (actually I couldn't finish it). How is this even considered erotica? I mean the main girl gets kidnapped and tortured (literally) all throughout the book. For example, in once scene, one of her captor actually pees (yes pees) into her mouth or should I say forces her to open her mouth or else they beat with a cane or a whip or any other horrible things. God, this book was so repulsive, why did I even bother reading it.This my first book by Claire Thompson and now I'm wondering if all of her other books are like this.
