Some of the stories are about a nice suburban family of color, Mike, Penny, and Pam, along with their parents. Their skin seems to get lighter with every story. They play with each other, no sign yet that they are allowed to play with Dick, Jane, and Spot. At least none of them say "Oh! Oh!". This was written in 1965.
