This is another 'yaoi' title that is more 'shōnen-ai' (being more about the romance & relationship than the graphic sex.) It's also one of the few that I can honestly say I liked because of that.
Perhaps it's because it's a stand alone tale that takes up a whole book (rather than an 8 - 32 page story in an anthology.) I more or less forgot that I was reading anything but a slowly building relationship story about two characters that were suffering in personal hells of their own choosing.
WARNING: there IS reference to what I'd consider incest. While it's directly related to the plot, and one character's screwed up past, it's still kinda jolting in a 'love story.' I don't know that it was really necessary for the author to use that as the pivotal plot point for this story to work, and that's why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4.
