I love this book. The story is original and well-told. The concept is that the artist can make his paintings come to life; he can bring items out of them or travel through them. Add to that a vengeful lesser talent with the same abilities and the possibilities are endless. Perhaps one of the aspects of the story I liked best was the continual dialog about what we CAN do versus what we SHOULD do.

A really excellent fantasy story.
