This book had a bit of something for everyone: mystery, dreams/sightings, and just a bit of romance. I waver between a 4 and 5 star, as it is not in the classic category, but it has been a long time since I enjoyed a book as much. Certainly a solid first novel.

This is a good story with mystery and some creepiness. I didn't really warm up to the protagonist completely. Her attitude toward Southerners and jabs toward Republicans here and there grated on my nerves. She did wind up falling for a southern republican, though, so maybe there is hope for her. It was written well enough to keep me reading and that overcame some of my issues with it. I hope the author will develop this character better.
