My daughter is doing a biography paper on Genghis Khan. I have a book by Leo De Hartog, and a couple of books that reference him (military skills, etc) but not extensively. Are there any good books out there anyone would recomend about his life or leadership style? My library has Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World by Jack Weatherford. Does anyone know if it is any good? She is 17, so college level books are ok. Thanks, Kat |

Kat - I haven't read this one yet but I've been eyeing it. Check it out - great reviews on Amazon!
Not sure if Conn Iggulden's books on Genghis Kahn would interest you , but they are quite good reading too. |

I read the Conn Iggulen books. I did like them. It is one of the reasons my daughter chose him as her topic. I dont want her to use them, cause htey are fiction and she needs non-fiction sources. The book in the link looks good. I will check with the library. Thanks |

Not sure if this would be what you are looking for, but the book on Genghis Khan that I read was Genghis Khan by Harold Lamb. According to Amazon.com there is another book by Lamb, but with a co-author, entitled Genghis Khan and the Mongol Horde. |

I read and own the book Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World by Jack Weatherford. Excellent writing and very informative. I highly reccommend it. I will soon to be working on his second book about the Mongols involving the women. |
