Has anyone else bumped into the Gerald Morris King Arthur books?  I stumbled onto "A Squire's Tale" and just roared all the way through it.  I haven' t read all of them, but have read several.  He's an amazing author who brings a fresh viewpoint to the ancient legends.

Best of all, though, after I'd read a couple/three of the books, I realized that 1) Gerald Morris lives in my town, and 2) I'd already met him!  At the time he was the pastor at a neighborhood church, and had participated in an ecumenical service I'd attended.  It was pretty mind-blowing to realize this very talented author was a guy I'd seen around town.

Wish I could say I had his books on my shelf, but I don't.  :-)  But if you're a King Arthur fan, check out his work.

Hadn't heard of this series, and I'm glad you mentioned it. It looks very good. I love the cover art for The Squire's Tale! One of my grandsons has a birthday next week, and he'll be so pleased. Thank you! (Might have to buy one or two for myself as well.)
