It has taken me a few days to realize the beauty of this novel. When I began reading it, I wasn't very impressed, however, I came to love the character Cameron, and his brothers. Simply stated, the pains of being a thoughtful, considerate adolescent boy were brought to the front of my mind, and left me seeing what it means to be a real man. In the end, passion and hunger to live are what makes this uncomfortable character turn into someone we all respect.
When I first started reading this book, I thought it was just going to be about an adolescent horny boy, but it turned out to be a very deep story about a young man and his brothers and I whizzed right through it. This is the second book I've read by this author and he's very good.
