This book is good for someone who is a railroad enthusiast. It has lots of pictures of old locomotives, etc. Though I am a history lover and interested in this geographic area for genealogy purposes, I'm not a railroad buff so I found the book kind of dry reading. It gives a lot of specific facts, which like I said, is great for the railroad enthusiast. I would have liked to read how those railroad lines affected the local people more, but I don't think that was the author's purpose for the book, so this is not a criticism of the book at all. The title is a little misleading for people who don't know what the term "Ghost Rails" refers to; it's definitely not about ghosts or hauntings. It refers to railroad lines that are no longer in use.
