Ick..This has to be one of the worst written books I have ever come across. It reads like it was written by a 5th grader trying to write a book report. I wish that was the worst part of the review, but sadly I have other things to say. First of all the title should be changed to Ghosts of Mostly Cooperstown, NY since most of the stories are from this area. Be careful or the ghosts of Cooperstown will get you the moment you set foot in town since according to this book most of the town is haunted.

The stories seem to be disconnected. They jump from one thing to another leaving the reader to assume certain things if they had no previous knowledge of the subject being written about. An example of this is on Page 73, The Herkimer County Courthouse and Jail. It states that it housed Chester Gillette, The murderer of Grace Brown, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_o... - Then it says the trial resulted in his conviction and ultimate execution in the electric chair in 1907. Chester was executed at the Auburn Correctional Facility in Auburn, NY.

Since the book centers on ghost, one would assume that more evidence would be presented. What you get is a bunch of people who see orbs or you get urban legends that start with...supposedly, legend states, and a bunch of other paranormal babble that normally amounts to nothing, bullshit, or something that can be explained scientifically.

Ughhhh....my head hurts from all the eye rolling. If you still insist on reading this, do yourself a favor and check it out of the library.
