I searched but could find anything specific on this series.

I read Key to Conflict, and as the title states, had conflicting emotions about the book
itself.  I absolutely cannot stand Gillian Key. She is just too rude for my taste.

But!  I loved all the vampires in the book as well as the werewolves Pavel and Cesar.
The story itself left me with a ton of questions. As the book takes place over a year,
they kind of glaze over the day to day happenings of the paramortals and concentrate
more on Gillians relationships.  I would love to know more about the vampires, especially
the Egyptions and Dionysus, how they all operate on a day-to-day basis, hobbies, personal
likes and dislikes  ect.

Are any of these characters in the second book, Key to Conspiracy, besides Aleksei? I have
Conspiracy and the third book, Key to Redemption on my WL.

I read on amazon (as well as here) all the reviews for Conflict, and most of them seemed
to hate the book, but Conspiracy seemed to be a little better.

Thoughts?

I read the first one Key to Conflict, over a year ago, and I don't remember all of the details.  I do remember tha I liked the book.   Gillian was tough and confident, and I didn't have any problems with her personality.    I recently got the second one in a swap, but I haven't read it yet.

I broke down and bought Key to Conspiracy today at Barnes and Noble.  I have been at #20 on the wishlist and couldnt wait any longer. Since I was already at the book store I started reading it and just splurged.

I like it so far, its a thinner book than I thought it would be.  I tried flipping through the book but  only saw Aleksei and Tanis.   I hope the Egyptians are at least in this one!

I am VERY surprised that the author goes a lot more into detail about shifters. Maybe she is taking it one book at a time explaning paramortals, Conflict was vampires, Conspiracy is shifters?
