THE GIRL IN 6E was not quite what I expected. The story is about a young woman, Jess/Deanna, who keeps herself locked in her apartment because of her urges to kill. To survive and make a living, she uses a webcam to satisfy the needs of men and sometimes women. Torre educates us on all sorts of sexual fetishes through actual definitions, and describes her clientele, who fulfill desires while paying $6.99 per minute. Jess never had an issue satisfying fantasies but when a new client seeks "ageplay" and insists on calling her "Annie," Jess begins to get a really bad vibe about the person. Jess does the right thing and leaves her apartment to try and save a young girl from this pedophile.

Torre doe a great job of showing how someone could live three years without any human contact other than through her webcam and phone. This ultimately was a truly disturbing story with the main character being somewhat of a female DEXTER but who is able to find some redemption in the end.
