Another enjoyable read from Lilian Harry -- this one is unique -- it follows a young VAD during WWII in England, rather than focusing on a street full of neighbors, or a small village. Seems a very accurate depiction of life in a naval hospital, coping with shattered bodies and lives, bombings and interpersonal relationships. The story continues in her book, "A Promise To Keep".
