The writing had me experiencing the same feelings. When the man's son appears with questions about the holes in that incident, she begins to analyze what happened so long ago. What she believed and what the townspeople believed is not the full story. So what really happened? So, why was her rescuer murdered?

Don't waste your money on this book. It was so boring and hard to finished.

Arden now goes by the name Olivia Meyer. 20 yrs. later, Olivia feels like she's being watched and begins sleepwalking again. She jolts awake in her yard one night. At her feet is the corpse of a man she knows from her previous life, as Arden Maynor. She is now once again the center of the story. This was a well-paced psychological thriller with several twists and turns and a surprise ending that I did not see coming. I would definitely read another book by her and I highly recommend this one.
