This wasn't really what I expected it to be, but it wasn't bad. I didn't know this was going to be individual stories about loads of different people from either The Bible, the Early Christian centuries, to modern-day tales of those who may of been involved in military action, but may not have actually taken up arms or stopped fighting once becoming a follower of Christ or may have been killed for their stances. Some of them did not give up arms but a lot of these were those who wanted to put Jesus' words into practice.

I think for the most part, the author sounded conflicted between serving God or Country and how to do so. I am not sure if he was just trying to be neutral or was relatively confused because of his own time in the service or not.

I enjoyed reading the stories regardless and they even had some cool artwork in the pages too.
