A great way to learn about Mexican culture. A must read if you are planning on buying and/or building in Mexico. Although it was written in 1975(?), gringo homeowners continue to encounter the same difficulties today. Although the setbacks frustrate Smith no end, it is these same setbacks that also endear Mexico and its people to Smith.

just a really nice story about the building of a house in Mexico....great interaction between the L.A. journalist and the builder.
