Absolutely LOVED this book. It kept my interest from start to finish and I can hardly wait to read the rest of this series. Lots of interesting peeks into history and the intrigues of royal life. It made me want to dive back into the Chronicles and find out more about these kings and the times they lived in. You will NOT regret choosing this book!

I loved this book. A story of a king you don't usually hear about. The first chapter is set when he's a kid and it is heart-wrenching!
I really enjoy all books by Lynn Austin. This is no exception. Any fiction book that inspires me to pick up my Bible and read the actual account for myself is an A+ in my book! Can't wait to read the next in the series.
