In addition, the songs of Orpheus chronicle the feats and the mishaps of gods, goddesses, and mortals as they confront a world at once various, new, and baffling, in the years before Agamemnon set off with Odysseus and Achilles to capture Troy and restore Helen to Sparta. About the Poet: H.R. Coursen is a graduate of Amherst College, Wesleyan University, and The University of Connecticut. He has recently won the Best Poem and Best Translation awards from the New England Poetry Club. His verse drama, The Aeneid premiered at the Orlando Shakespeare Festival.
