A movie star researching a role of a chemist gets her "uncool" attorney to teach her to be a nerd so she can "get into character". They go to a secreat hideaway for coaching in California's "Bigfoot Country".
I found it a humorous, light and easy read.
Tedious read. Predictable ending with 1st 1/4 of book. Not VLT's best work.
I laughed, I was steamed up, I had a good time. Not literary genius, but a fun read.
Light fun read. Lots of steamy romance & some mystery mixed in. A lot of laugh of louds.
The first book "The Nerd Who Loved Me" was much better but this was still very entertaining.
The Nerd series is awesome --they are a quick and funny read.
Vickie Lewis Thompson has created an interesting concept with her "nerd" books. This book is centered around a movie star & takes place in California's "Bigfoot country". It will make you chuckle with all the antics that take place.
Very funny!! A real page turner. One cannot go wrong when they pick up a book from the Nerd series. I really enjoy reading them.
Very good book. Not too heavy, but has some suspence.
First book that I have read by this author. Some parts of the book just kind of dragged on and I skipped thru the book quite a lot. The sex scenes were hot and the chemistry between the couple heavy.
I love this series! Vicki Lewis Thompson will tickle your funny bone in this star-meets-nerd romp in "Bigfoot Country". A light and lively read!
The story is a little goofy but it is a fun read...nerds rule!
Best one in the series so far. Really enjoyed the Zoe and Flynn story.
Summer reading at it's best, as long as you're not too interested in plot or believability.
Zoe Tarleton is a famous movie actress who wants to be taken a little more seriously in her roles. She is up for audition for a 'nerdy' role, but has no idea how to be a nerd. So she enlists her lawyer for the part, and invites him to a cabin (in Bigfoot Country no less) to work on learning the part.
Flynn Granger, her lawyer and apparantly, nerd of the hour, is at first a little put out by the suggestion that HE might be a nerd. But he admits to nerdy tendencies, like carrying his precious PDA in his front shirt pocket everywhere he goes. And the idea that his famous client needs HIS help is a little absurd to him, but he reluctantly agrees to the weekend away from the city to help her prepare for her role. Besides, he'd love to get a sighting of Sasquatch, the culmination of his inner nerd... i mean... child... dreams.
I absolutely adore Vicki Lewis Thompson's NERD Series. As a woman married to a man who would, in all likelihood, be described as a nerd, I know first-hand how hot these guys can be! Ms. Thompson has served up another steamy slice of nerdiness in GONE WITH THE NERD.
Zoe Tarleton is a movie star known far and wide for one thing-- playing the bombshell. With her beauty and first-class body, she's made plenty of films--but she's tired of being known as nothing more than a pretty face. Then the chance of a lifetime falls into her lap--the chance to audition for the role of Vera in an action-adventure movie, a part that could, if played right, earn her a Golden Globe. The only problem is that Vera, a chemist working on a miracle drug, is a flat-chested, bland, nerdy woman. To turn her bombshell into a dud, Zoe needs to learn how to be a nerd, and she knows the perfect person to help guide her--entertainment attorney Flynn Granger. She's spent plenty of time with Flynn over the past few years, working out contracts, and she knows he's just the man for the job.
Flynn has always been attracted to Zoe in an off-hand, it-could-never-happen sort of way. After all, she's Zoe Tarleton and he's, well, a nerdy accountant with glasses, a monochrome wardrobe, and a Honda Civic. So when Zoe suggests spending the weekend in Long Shaft, California, home of the Sasquatch, for him to advise her in nerdiness, Flynn agrees, on the condition that he can tell his almost-fiancee, Kristen, what they're up to. The only problem is, even before they reach Long Shaft, Flynn's realizing that being in close proximity with Zoe--dowdy or not--is a real danger to his libido.
GONE WITH THE NERD is an absolute riot, and Zoe and Flynn are adorable characters. The steam these two generate is enough to erupt a volcano, and the suspense and paranormal aspects thrown into the story add an exciting mix. I love how Zoe realizes that there's more to life than fame and fortune, and how Flynn comes to understand that blending into the background of life isn't necessarily the best way to go.
You won't go wrong with this nerdy tale, and I for one am eagerly anticipating the next one, TALK NERDY TO ME.
fun and quircky with a predictable ending
What happens when the country's hottest movie star wants to win a golden globe playing a nerd? She goes to her nerd lawyer for assistance, but what happens, when Sasquatch abounds, and weird "accidents" occur. Will they find out that the brain is the sexiest part of the body?
I love all of Thompson's nerd books - this is her latest!!
This satisfied my 'nerd' craving... :)
This is a pretty good book. The only one I have read by this author.

Cute...love the Nerd Series...always light and easy.
In Nerd Gone Wild and The Nerd Who Loved Me, Vicki Lewis Thompson gave the sexy intellectual his due. Now she's back at her boisterously funny best when she pairs a lawyer with an actress in order to make a Hollywood fantasy come true...

"A beauty looking for her inner nerd. ~~~ Movie star Zoe Tarleton has everyting but respect. Now she's determined to get it by snagging the coveted role of a plain-Jane chemist. All she needs is for her decidely uncool attorney, Flynn Granger, to teach her the award-winning subtleties of being a nerd."
"A nerd unleashing his inner beast. ~~~ California's 'Bigfood Country' is the ideal secret hideaway for coaching. That means rehearsing the steamy scenes too. Who'd have guessed that Zoe and Flynn's performance would be so convincing? Unfortunately, something is turning their hot love story into a hair-raising thriller."
