I am looking for some good clean mysteries. Even if they aren't christian per se but clean. My mother is wanting some to read that are cozy without having sex scenes or language. Would love any recommendations you can give.

Two of my favorite cozy series are:

Magical Cats by Sofie Kelly    (only magical aspect is one cat can disappear/reappear and the other walk through walls)

Cats in Trouble by LeAnn Sweeney

Cat in the Stacks by Miranda James

Library Lovers by Jenn McKinlay  (MC is a librarian)

I don't remember for sure but I believe that the ones above are also free of any curse words.  If there are any, it is only a couple.

This is a good CF series:  A Plain Death (Appleseed Creek, Bk 1) Author: Amanda Flower

Hearse and Buggy (Amish Mystery, Bk 1)  Author: Laura Bradford  (sold in Lifeway but not really CF to me)

Falling to Pieces (Shipshewana Amish, Bk 1) :: Vannetta Chapman

Thanks Cynthia! I have read the series by Amanda Flower but I don't think my mom would care for them. She is really not into the Amish stuff. I told her she might enjoy them anyways because it focuses so much on the mystery but she didn't take it:) Will definitely check into the Library Lovers. Sounds like one she would read.

Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite authors. She has several series and some individual books as well. The Last Light series is really good.

I like Terri Blackstock as well Meg! My mom though is trying to find some real mysteries. I have a hard time finding good ones with the whole "can't figure out who-dun-it" aspect. I have requested a couple of the Library Lovers series from my local library and will see how she likes those. And then I can go from there. It is good to hear what other people like and suggestions you all can give.

What about Mary Higgins Clark? Hers are not sold as Christian Fiction but they are clean. I have a lot of them on my shelf and would be glad to do a 4 for 2 deal.

Have you or your mother read any of the Inspector and Mrs. Jeffries books.  I've found them an enjoyable whodunit.

Nancy, I haven't heard of them. Will have to check with my mother. Is Mrs Jeffries the author?

Meg, thanks for the message.

Terri Blackstock & Brandilyn Collins are my favorite.  :-)  I also enjoy Tim Downs, Irene Hannon, & Robin Carroll.

Probably not what she is looking for, but I enjoyed "The Cat Who..." series by Lilian Jackson Braun.
