I couldn't quite finish this book. I consider the pace too slow. Some details about the hardships of life during war but for someone interested in reading a real life description of life during war I would recomend: "Those who Saved Us", "The Kommandants Girl" or even "Winter Garden" by Kristin Hannah

Beautiful but sad story about a family of children, living a life, striving to stay alive in Sarajevo. Death is everywhere, and the killing of their beloved Uncle while looking for bread make things even harder. But there is a surprise of hope lurking on these pages that is compelling and moving. This true story of courage and extraordinary human kindness is absolutely a touching read you will not forget.
