preheat oven to 350 degrees. get the eggs and cream cheese to room temperature. melt one stick of butter. mix the yellow cake mix, 1 egg, and the melted butter together, this makes the crust. spread this into a 13X9 greased baking dish. set aside.
melt the other stick of butter(for like 20-30 seconds in microwave), let cool. with a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. add 2 eggs and vanilla. then add the melted butter and beat until smooth. add the sugar, amd nix well. spread this over the crust. Bake 40-50 minutes. you want the center to be slightly gooey. I usually check at 30 minutes, if the crust has risen, and the top is starting to brown, i shake it and see how gooey it is! Do not over bake!! let it cool, then cut into finger sized pieces.
This is always a fabulous desert! Even my family that doesn't eat sweets won't turn this down!!
