I recently started to read Marion Chesney's Regencies. They are too funny! This was one of the best so far. A beautiful dark redhead becomes the "governess of distinction" for a seemingly caddish fop who has inherited a heap of a castle and two reprobate 15 year old twins. The twins are truly evil (but they get their final laughable cumuppance, as you will see). Jean, the inexperienced governess, has a lot of common sense but a romantic streak that often derails it. The fop means to send her on her way at first but one look at her red hair and he's hooked, although he doesn't know it yet! The plot thickens with hidden passageways, spiked chocolates, a beautiful beach nearby and great characters!
