great garlic bread
||1 / 10
1 loaf - long extra sour dough bread
1/2 cup 1 cube - butter
6 cloves - garlic cloves peeled
to taste about 1/2 tsp - garlic salt
2 pieces - aluminum foil
Cut loaf of french bread in half.
Butter each half of bread. Don't be sparing with the butter.
Slice the 6 peeled cloves of garlic as thinly as possible.
Distribute the sliced garlic evenly over the bread.
Sprinkle both halves of the bread with garlic salt.
Wrap each half in a piece of aluminum foil that is long enough for the bread.
Place bread, in foil, on barbeque.
Turn every 5 minutes till done. Usually it takes about 15 or 20 minutes.
This garlic bread can also be baked in a 400 degree oven. It is better to sautee the garlic in butter before you put it on the buttered bread, if you wish to bake it, instead of barbequeing it.
