This is a nice story; but, for a young reader. It was a gift and I guess the buyer didn't realize it was for a younger reader. It even has vocabulary and "food for thought" sections at the back of the book. It is a sweet story about children handed over for someone else to raise when parents could no longer care for them during the dust bowl years.
