If you like your S/F technically believable with lots of action, you will like this one. For me a big plus is the hot pilot heroine- she's tough, smart and straight-up good people. I enjoyed it.

Where the first book in this series, First Flight, offered up a pretty good action-adventure space epic, this second book in the series just left me feeling bored. While it too has it's share of action, and the beginning was promising, about halfway through it degenerates into a mish-mash of virtual reality, quasi-mystic introspection and dream sequences that quickly had me losing interest in both the book and the series. I got to about the two thirds point before giving up and tossing it on the trash heap.
