OK since the other threads got a little big so let's start again. Anyone want to play? Here goes: "You'd do anything to make me stop crying, right?" she accused. "Nope. Tears don't bother me," he said. "It's just that once I get a laugh, I have to follow up and try to get another one. I just can't help myself. It's, like, an obsessive-compulsive thing with me." "I don't want to hear about your obsessions or compulsions, thank you. That's way too much information for me." She snifffed violently, mopped her face with her hand. "Sorry about your shirt." He petted the black mark tenderly with his hand. "I'm not," he said. "I'm never washing this thing again. I think I'll frame it."....."The thought of you using power tools is really arousing," he said. "I-I cannot believe you just said that to me," she floundered. "So put me in my place," he said. "You're Her Divine Highness, the Crown Princess of Endicott Falls. Who dares to mess with you?"

Hey, I am not sure how this all works. Becasue I have not played before. So be sure and tell me. I think this is Edge of Midnight by Shannon McKenna. |

Not looking familiar to me. I'm so bad at these things. |
I haven't read it but it sounds good! |

Lori you got it! Now you get to do one. Just find a good book and type in an excerpt...maybe a clue or two and post it. If no one gets it right away you can keep giving clues until someone does or until you tell us what it is. Whoever guesses correctly gets to do the next one. |

Ok here is goes! ...comming up behind her and resting his hand on the curve of her waist. "Do you want to go to the hotel with me, or go back home?" Home? He was referring to his house as her home? She looked up, ready to nail him on his mistake, and the words died on her lips. He was watching her with a steady, burnning intent; that hadn't been a slip of the toung but a warning of a differnet kind. "We both know where we're going with this," he said. "I have a suite at the hotel, and the electricians got the power back on yesterday, so it's funtional. You can come with me to the hotel or go home, but either way, you're going to be under me. The only difference is that going home will give you a little more time, if you need it? "I haven't decided yet whether or not to sleep with you, and I'll make the secision on my timeline, not yours," she said. "I'll com to the hotel with you because I want to don't want to spend another day cooped up in that house, so don't get to cocky, ________." The expression of intence focus faded, to be replaced by wryness. Looking down at himself, he said, "Too Late."

That does sound good, but isn't it a paranormal type book? Carol, your turn!! I haven't been in here in a few days, I like this game and wanna play:) |
Yes they are paranormals. Good series but I recommend reading them pretty close together because the timeframes are almost concurrent. OK. Give me a couple hours and I'll see what I can find. |
Oh man, I've read that book too and I still didn't get it! I'm not very good at this game, I think. |

OK found one. Sorry it took longer than I thought: "Even battered and bruised and moaning with every other breath, I can't imagine too many people dumb enough to take you on." ___ gave a wolfish grin. "Yet you never hesitate." Affronted by the suggestion that she might be dumb, ___ said, "I believe I've avoided you." ___ subtly kicked the sheet lower. Apparently, not subtly enough because her eyes shifted, then stayed glued to his abdomen. "Avoided me?" he asked, to keep her from noticing that he'd noticed her looking. "So that wasn't you with me in the dark hallway at ___'s wedding, kissing me and clawing my back and arching up against me and---" She was off the bed in a flash. "A touch of modesty wouldn't hurt, you know." "Modesty is for wimps." He kicked the sheet farther away. It couldn't go any lower without baring him completely. Being a stubborn witch, ___ refused to look. "All right. So, I kissed you. It was a momentary lack of sanity." ___ nodded in mock sympathy. "I have that effect on a lot of women."
Hero's name is in the title |

Hmmm. I thought it was Truly Madly Yours by Rachel Gibson, but that doesn't have the hero's name... |
