O.K. ..this is bad I am trying to recall an author or book that I read and there is very little I can tell you. The main female character had killed her best friend years before while trying to do a spell of some kind it left her whit a limp and a partially paralyzed face. She comes to a European country I want to say Transalvania, but that could be false meets with a woman whose nephew has been stolen. And there are some kind of creatures in her house they are like mice but more like gremlins. The main male character is a vampire type of hero he was sold by his father to a demon. It is his son that is missing but everyone views him as the bad guy but it is actually his twin brother who is the evil one. He is trying to get his son back but everyone keeps thinking he took him. Males are born as dark ones if they are born before the father finds his beloved or soul-mate. There seven steps to joining and once they are joined he can only drink her blood and she smells bad to every other male. There is a scene where she meets another couple in a train station and the woman is carrying snow-globes and talking to them.... Does anyone have any ideas about this book or author. It is driving me insane. Thanks for the help. chichi

OK, I have a book, too, that I can't remember the title.  The heroine works in the morgue and is "turned" into a vampire.  An apparent psycho comes in and trys to kill the "dead" guy on the table, she gets in between and is mortally wounded.  The psycho runs away, the "dead" guy (vampire), saves her.  Something later about nanos and Atlantis.
