This was...interesting. One on hand, I found this memoir informative and illuminating. The story of suicide and mental illness is a difficult one to tell, and Linda tells it well. I also got a bit weary- get over the legacy and move on. It was frustrating that such a bright and insightful woman could not move on from her mother and made me feel, as other reviewers did, that she was milking her mother for all she had.
In the end, I enjoyed it. I would recommend it to those who want to understand depression and suicide and the totality of the experience.
