I liked it, I didn't like the "villan" though...Scarecrow? Plus there are some conintuiy errors between this book and future books in the series. I loved how the author established the witty dialogue that's always present on the show. I'd recommend this book to anyone who's a fan though b/c you may not be able to appreciate it if you've never watched an ep. Recommended to Fans.

Based off the first season of the hit show Buffy the vampire slayer, Halloween rain is an original novel, perfect for any fans of the show.
Buffy just wants a normal night with her friends on Halloween. But when the towns crazy (the one before Buffy moved in), crashes the party at the town's club the Bronze, Buffy has got a mission!
It can't be called the most well written book in the world. But the characters fit in perfectly with the ones from the show. Nancy Holder (the co-author the series wicked) and Christopher Golden (who's book POISON INK is coming out July of this year) work together well and create a good book for Buffy fans.
It's a quick read that can be breezed through.
I loved it since I am a Buffy fan!
It wasn't as good as the show since half the fun is watching Sarah Michelle Geller's (Buffy) and Alison Hannigan's (Willow) expressions. But the book did have the Witty banter I am used to and love!

To me it was missing the fun of the show but it was a very light read and I believe the first original paperback story in the Buffy universe.
