We refuse to baptize all unconscious babes ; nor do we, according to high recommendation amongst Dissenting Psedobaptists, administer the ordinance indiscriminately to those who ask for it. We regard not baptism as a meana by which grace and salvation are enjoyed, but as a personal profession of faith in Christ and dedication to Him ; which, according with God's directions, and symbolizing important truths, will be honoured with God's presence and blessing; aud the justified and obedieut believer will go " on his way rejoicing."
