This is a wonderful book. A reference but more. It has so much information and is highly readable. I opened the book when I first got my copy and couldn't put it down. Every topic is covered so thoughly that you feel like it's been a lifetime of research that was required to write the book. I love it. A good homeschool library book to have.

This book is the all-in-one guide to nature. Indispensable in the home school environment, The Handbook of Nature Study covers easy-to-observe subjects, like dogs, butterflies, skunks, squirrels, and more. Pretty much anything you see when you step outside (and plenty more aside from that!) can be further researched between the covers of this wonderful resource.
