Hank the Cowdog takes his job as head of ranch security seriously and when I read his part aloud I pretend that I'm a general. His side-kick Drover isn't too bright but very funny. This series of books are wonderful for the great vocabulary lessons built-in and I highly recommend them, especially for boys ages 8-12.
