A very well known book, usually seen in paperback and sometimes in hardback. This edition is a larger size and includes many drawings to illustrate the tools, animals, etc. Unfortunately (?) there is no illustration of the deceased pilot, underwater for several weeks....
The introduction to this edition is quite interesting.
It actually was kept in circulation for eleven years at this branch library where videos, computer time, and illustrated Japanese-style novels are the things that circulate. Checking the catalogs, I note that LA Public has 29 copies (26 at various branches, 3 at the main library) and LA County has 25 copies (no main library). I assume most all of the libraries bought it in 2007 so the number still retained is an indicator of high demand for this edition.
