This is one of those books that had me very worried about the heroin, since she has had no previous dealings in the spy business, but was recruited to spy on her current employer.
Her bosses' company specializes in energy commodities, but, he's a nuclear arms dealer on the side. The NSA has asked Anne for her help to find 13 nuclear bombs before her boss has a chance to unload them. She's not what the NSA would call "cooperative", but they sweeten the pot to make it an offer she can't refuse.
