Haynes Repair Manuals are very helpful, even if you don't want to work on your own car, because they can give you some ideas of what might be going wrong and you won't feel as ignorant and helpless when you go to the mechanic. If you do want to work on your car, it is well-written and clear, with plenty of pictures and illustrations.
