I'm also going to Mach Picchu in December.  It never even occurred to me to get books that feature that particular destination although I always do for other places!  I'll have to check out The Birdmen of Peru and Matthew Reilly's Temple.

Rob - I don't know if you'll see this or not but M.P. was AWESOME!  Actually, all of Peru was pretty dang special.  It was our favorite country out of the 4 we visited in SA.  If you ever get the chance you should definitely try to visit.  I did hear the Peruvian authorities are going to start restricting access to the site, which they really need to.  As M.P., and travel to S.A. in general grows, there are so many people going to see it and the site is not really equipped for all the traffic.  Anyway, it's a pretty special place and I'd love to go back again one day.
