Okay. Here's the thing. I love Shiloh Walker's Suspense novels. Broken and Fragile are both keepers for me. So I was pretty excited to read If you Hear Her...

And it was good. Super good. Great characters....We don't just get the perspective of the two main characters, there are some other minor characters' as well as the points of view of future H and h's.
No worries though, even if you aren't generally a fan of secondary characters, as this is defintiely Lena and Ezra's story.

The setting, smalltown USA, was well done, and I could easily picture the town as well as some of it's resdients in my head, which IMO makes for a better overall experience.

Add to that the mystery/suspsense storyline pulled me right in...but i didn't want the book to end (it was just so good!), so i kept dragging out my reading, until finally I couldn't take it and forced myself to finish....

Now here's where the book wasn't so good...now please keep in mind this may or may not be a spoiler, but be warned....

The ending's a clifhanger. Which I'm pretty sure means, the overall mystery is gonna span the three books in the series.... That's not technically a bad thing...unless you don't know about it going in...so now, I'm left with no closure and left feeling a tad irritated.
If I'd known, IDK if i'd have waited til I had all 3 books before I started, or If I'd have gone ahead anyway, but I'd have liked to have the chance to decide for myself, rather than having it come out of nowhere.

I'm sure I'll like the next books, and I am eager to find out how everything is resolved, but for now I'm annoyed.

So, if you'd like to save yourself some aggravation, wait til you've got all three books on hand before you start reading!

Excellent romantic suspense. Be warned, if you read this book you want all three in the Ash Trilogy as you won't know "wondunit" until book 3. I enjoyed each book for the romance, suspense, friendships plus life in a small town where many are related. Each book will have you guessing & not wanting to put the book down.

I like S. Walker's books and I enjoyed this one also but the abrupt ending left me with the feeling that I was missing the last chapter or something. I should have read the reviews first so I knew what to expect.
I don't want to spoil this story so I'll just say the heroine was very different and I loved her and the hero was damaged but still easy to like, the two of them together were awesome. All the characters were so interesting, the bad guys were really bad and creepy. I hope the next installment comes quickly

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the H and h and loved the small town setting. The romance was sweet and sexy. The bad guy...well we've yet to figure out who he is...but i do know that he is really pretty creepy. I cant wait to get my hands on the next two to see how this all wraps up!
