An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, blood for blood, we all got to die, thought Benjamin as he swung his blade. It cut the dead mortal before him, letting the blood seep into the already soaked grass. He stood on what used to be a battle-field. His two colleges and his only remaining little brother, Christopher stood behind him. "Lets return before more come," said Christopher, his voice deep and soothing. Benjamin turned around, sheathing his sword. He looked at his brother with a heavy sigh. Being a few inches taller, Christopher loomed over him. He had back hair, pulled back with a thong. He had pale, ivory skin with an oval face. His eyes were a stunning black. He wore a simple leather turkin with leather hoses. His boots tired to his knees and he wore a dagger on his belt. Benjamin sighed and nodded. "Let’s. He's not here. We were fooled. Again," he growled angrily.
Spreading his wide, blue-black wings he took flight with his colleges and brother. Keeping his mind open for an attack he flew home, towards Germany. Landing, wounding in the Fields he knelt there. Closing his wings, he felt the sun on his back and his colleges were behind him. Christopher knelt before him, muttering a prayer to the Sky God. "The last of our kind...the royal blood..." he heard Christopher mutter in the Heaven Language. Only they knew it, not even his colleges did. "Lets go inside and rest ourselves, these wary wings." Christopher agreed and they stood up. They walked inside the large, country home, feeling the warm atmosphere.
"Benji, Chris, is that you?" said a soft, female voice through the house. Benji smiled as the voice warmed his heart. One college, Rick stood in a soldier stance while the other Time limped off to his room. Very well, Time needs rest. Rick won't rest until he sees fit we are safe and he has given his report, he thought. Maria walked into the room, holding her stomach. Benjamin's eyes opened wider and he wrapped an arm around her waist. "Maria...my love," he whispered softly. His wings unfolded and wrapped them around the both of them. She laughed and he sighed at the sound. "You’re injured. Every one of you. What happened?" Benjamin folded his wings and nodded for Rick to give the report.
Rick stood tall at 6’3. He had deeply tanned skin with a long, face. His hair was brown, cropped short, military style. His eyes were a hard brown, but they often softened when he was calmed. He wore a leather turkin with his brown wings folded against his body. He held a dagger on his waist, but his specially remained in his mind. His powers. “There was a strong raid. It was a surprise attack, but within our fault. I received the information of their camp far from here. They were weak, injured. I thought this could be our chance. That’s why I took it, we took it. I thought, he would be there. I was wronged. We were wronged. They attacked us in the sky. If it wasn’t for Benjamin, we would be dead. He wasn’t there. He sent mortals possessed by them demons to do his work,” he said, his voice smooth.
