Excellent read! The characters are well written, and will be very familiar to those who've seen the movies. The storyline is suspenseful and has enough excitement that you can hear the John Williams soundtrack in your head. Interesting characters, exciting situations, fun dialogue!

This is a really fun read. Not too complex, but Zahn adds depth to the Star Wars universe that was missing from the movies. You can't put all of the Star Wars books in the same category as there are so many different writers. I never read and sci-fi by Zahn before, but I'm going to try some more now. This is book one in a 3 part series.

This is the book that brought Star Wars back in a literary form. It is a great ride and well worth reading.

This was the first Star Wars novel, since Lando Calrissan's books released in 1983. Zahn's trilogy stays so true the feel of the original movies that I feel money would have been better spent on making these stories into films than what we got.
