This is a beautiful short little book about a family bible that was sold during the Depression to help a starving village and how the bible ended up taking on a life of its own. It was very heartwaring and I felt such joy after reading it (only took a few hours). It definitely reassured me of the power of prayer, too.

Small book that can be read in short time. This book is a ggod reminder that god is in control of our lives and will use anything we offer to him. The Pastor of a small church in a small mountain town during the depression sells his Family Heirloom Bible in order to buy all the children in his church shoes for the winter.
During the next several he receives letters from people that had their lives touched and changed by his bible.
