The guy at the bookstore said that if I liked "snarky" books, I would like this one. I tend to be a lover of all things snark, but in this case, I found the author to be a little TOO condescending. I loaned the book to a friend--an avid travel-book reader. She also found it to be not great--she said that she learned nothing new from the author's descriptions of Africa, India, Mexico and Disney World. Bottom line--high hopes, low payoff.
