The author explains the methods of working with fearful dogs in a easy manner. It's basically the same technique taught by Caesar Milan and the other dog experts, but in an easy-going manner. For example, the owner's body language and behavior around and towards a fearful dog is very important - shouting and anger will scare the dog, but coddling and "comforting" the dog is just as bad. She states this simply, whereas some trainers don't.

Her sections on diet and mental stimulation are great because they are often not brought up on TV shows and in some books.
