I'm hoping it might be on print by now.  I can't remember the author or the title or whether I saw it at Newconcepts or Ellorascave.  I had a list of ebooks I eventually wanted and I lost it in the move.  It's a long shot but I'm hoping someone here read or remembers it.

I didn't read it so I'm just remember what the plost was basically about. The heroine was an American who goes to Italy to teach English at a college I think.  She might have been hired to teach English to the Police Department.   I remember from the plot write up that she has a friend that's already there and I think the friend has gone missing. The hero is an Italian Police Detective who is either looking into the missing friend's case or some other case and the heroine ends up in danger.  Presumably they have lots of hot sweaty sex.  That's the gist of it anyway.

I know not much to go on but I'm hoping the fact that it takes place in contemporary Italy will trigger someone's memory.

Port of Paradise is what came to my mind too! I remember sex everywhre.maybe even the kitchen sink..her friend is in the hospital and I remember her not liking cops. dang might have to re-read this one..ETA if this is it it's been out in paperback..I think I got mine a year or two ago..

I just added it to my WL.  I love her I'm surprised I  didn't remember the author.  I was really new to romance and erotica at the time so I probably hadn't read anything else by her at that point.
