This book covers 36 different problems which teenages might be struggling with. For each issue it talks about: What the struggle looks like, why the struggle happens, how parents can help, how professionals can help, and gives a reference list to get additional help. It also includes real life case descriptions so you can "see" what it might look like.

The author states in the opening that he "intentionally approached the material as a Christian and clinical psychologist." Though this book does have a Christian emphasis, it does cover the psychological aspect more and is less of a religious work.
