I found this 8" x 10.5" cookbook on the shelf at the library clearance and was curious enough to pay the quarter. take it home and try some recipes. I've cooked from a lot of chocolate cookbooks before so I wanted to see how this would compare. Despite being published in 1984 most of the recipes featured are thankfully pretty timeless like the Chocolate Zucchini Cake, Classic Chocolate Butter-cream, Chocolate Filled Cream Puffs, and Irish Hot Chocolate.
Overall this cookbook has a great variety of recipes at different skill levels. There are some that call for cake mixes as well as some that are more elaborate. A few use Hershey's products, but it doesn't feel like the cookbook is simply a device to get you to cook with them. If anything recipes containing Hershey's products were the exception rather than the rule.
