When newlyweds Mark and Jane Studdock find themselves on opposite sides of a struggle between good and evil, plenty of demonic and devilishly funny events occur. In an ordinary English village, the decapitated head of Alcasan directs a group of ghoulish scientists, Merlin, the magician, wakes after centuries of sleep, and superior beings from outer space visit Earth. An ideological b attle rages along with some real rioting, but in the end, love conquers evil.
