A wonderfully detailed book on enjoying Oregon's natural beauty in nature. The book includes black and white scenic photos of most hikes, and some maps. Each hike includes precautions, level of difficulty, distance, elevation, and where to get more information.
From the back cover: "This book tells about the formation of Oregon's goelogic provinces, including the Coast Range, Cascades, Owyhees, Blue and Klamath Mountains, and then guides you through each region on walks that explore and explain the most significant geologic formations along the way. These hikes range from short, handicapped-accessible trails to a challenging six-day backpack in Hells Canyon; from strolls in urban parks to wilderness summit climbs."
